AIU University. Mel is a 2-time BOLD graduate and a Certified Distress Property Expert. His experience
and repeated success in real estate allows him to consistently find projects for short and long-term

market. He strives to continue being a devoted family man with a steadfast devotion to God. He taught
adult Sunday at his church and is an ambassador to his outreach in Haiti as a Microeconomic Business
Advisor. He was born in a small rural town deep in the heart of South Carolina. At the young age of 10,
he was exposed to real estate, and it was embedded in his DNA. He has worked construction sites as a
laborer helping to build homes and commercial buildings with his 6 uncles, who are all in construction.
His family relocated to the CSRA in 1983 when his father, a minister, opened a church in Augusta, GA. He
graduated from Westside High School and was eager to join the workforce. He developed a foundation
for his own work ethic in the world of sales as a door-to-door sales representative for Kirby vacuums, a
100% commission sales job. Motivated by his mentors to gain additional attributes such as honor,
integrity and discipline, he proudly enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served during 9-11 and Operation
Enduring Freedom. After he finished his military career, he decided to go seek higher education from
AIU. Mel returned to his roots in the CSRA and began his new career. He continued his specialization in
Sales & Marketing in Augusta, GA, completed his college degree in Business and Marketing with the AIU
University and has now worked every aspect of the industry representing buyers, sellers, investors, and
banks in both the residential and commercial market. He absolutely loves helping his clients exceed
their wants and needs. He has learned to provide excellent customer service after owning several small
businesses and serving under strong leaderships within fortune 5oo companies. He has held strong
positions such as an advertising consultant, a project manager and multiple sales positions. Destiny
came full circle as he embarked on his career as a licensed realtor. It is in this capacity that he can use
his 15 years plus skills of negotiation, product and promotion, construction, new client development and
competitive strategy to work to serve the community. Mel is also a Homes for Heroes representative,
which allows him to help the same military community in which he once served beside.
